Service Agreement
This agreement governs all services performed by Clearline Co. By accepting a quote or proceeding with a service booking, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: July 2026
Scope of Services
Clearline Co provides exterior property care services including gutter cleaning, solar panel cleaning, pressure and soft washing, window and façade cleaning, and Property Health Reports™. The specific services to be performed are defined in each individual quotation.
Work beyond the agreed scope — including additional areas, surfaces, or tasks identified on the day — will be discussed with you before proceeding wherever practical and may incur additional charges.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are provided based on information available at the time — including the property type, size, and services discussed. They are valid for a reasonable period from the date of issue.
If on-site conditions differ significantly from what was described or anticipated — for example, heavier-than-expected debris, additional access requirements, or damage discovered during the service — final pricing may be adjusted. We’ll always communicate any changes clearly before proceeding where possible.
Property Access
You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to all areas included in the quoted scope of work. Before we arrive, please ensure:
- Pets are secured away from work areas
- Vehicles or personal belongings are moved where they may obstruct access
- Gates, side access, or internal areas requiring entry are unlocked
If safe access cannot be provided, Clearline reserves the right to postpone the service. Where a visit cannot proceed due to access issues, a call-out fee may apply.
Weather and Rescheduling
Some services are weather dependent. Clearline may reschedule work due to rain, strong winds, extreme heat, or other conditions that would affect safety or quality. Where this occurs, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time. A weather rescheduling does not constitute a cancellation by either party.
Existing Property Condition
Roofs, gutters, solar panels, windows, and exterior surfaces may contain pre-existing deterioration, wear, or hidden defects that are not visible prior to or during the service. By engaging Clearline, you acknowledge this.
Clearline is not responsible for damage or failures arising from pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to: cracked tiles, corroded gutters, deteriorated seals, brittle materials, or concealed structural issues.
Exterior Cleaning Limitations
Exterior cleaning is designed to improve the appearance of surfaces by removing dirt, debris, biological growth, and general soiling where reasonably achievable.
Some conditions cannot be resolved through cleaning alone, including:
- Deep staining, tannin stains, or mineral deposits
- Oxidation or surface corrosion
- Permanent discolouration or fading caused by UV exposure or ageing
- Paint or coating failures not caused by the cleaning process
Results may vary depending on the age, condition, and material of the surface. Clearline does not guarantee the complete removal of all staining or discolouration.
Gutter Cleaning
Gutter cleaning involves the removal of accessible debris and a check of water flow where reasonably achievable from ground level or safe working height. Clearline does not guarantee the discovery of every blockage, crack, or internal defect. Underground drainage systems and concealed downpipe issues are outside the scope of this service.
Solar Panel Cleaning
Cleaning solar panels removes surface soiling that may be reducing light transmission. While clean panels are generally more efficient, Clearline does not guarantee a specific increase in electrical output following the service. We do not inspect, test, or certify electrical components. If damaged panels, cracked glass, or exposed wiring are observed visually during cleaning, we will note this in your Property Health Report™ — however this does not constitute an electrical inspection.
Pressure Washing and Soft Washing
Cleaning methods are selected based on surface type, condition, and manufacturer recommendations where known. Pre-existing loose paint, deteriorated mortar, damaged sealants, or fragile materials may become more apparent after cleaning — this is a result of their prior condition, not the cleaning process. Clearline is not responsible for failures or damage caused by pre-existing deterioration uncovered during the service.
Before and After Photography
Clearline photographs properties before and after every service for documentation, quality assurance, and your Property Health Report™. Photos may also be used for marketing purposes — including on our website and social media — to showcase our work. We will never publish images alongside any personally identifying information such as your name or address. If you would prefer your property photos not be used for marketing purposes, please let us know and we will respect that request.
Property Health Reports™
Where included in your service, Property Health Reports™ are maintenance documentation — a record of observations, photos, and general recommendations relating to the exterior condition of your property at the time of the service.
A Property Health Report™ is not, and should not be relied upon as:
- A structural or building inspection report
- An engineering assessment
- A pest inspection
- A waterproofing or drainage report
- A compliance or certification document
All observations and recommendations in the report are general maintenance notes only. For structural, safety, or compliance concerns, we recommend engaging a qualified building inspector or relevant specialist.
Payment Terms
Payment is due in accordance with the terms set out on your invoice. Where payment is not received by the due date, Clearline reserves the right to apply reasonable recovery costs as permitted by law.
Property Health Reports™ and associated documentation remain the property of Clearline Co until payment has been received in full.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please provide as much notice as possible. Clearline also reserves the right to reschedule work due to weather, safety requirements, or operational circumstances. We’ll always contact you promptly when this is necessary.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Clearline Co’s liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the services supplied under the relevant agreement.
Clearline is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from the delivery of our services or any recommendations made in a Property Health Report™.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other legislation that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from our services are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
